Q: What is Seerah and what’s the significance of Serra for Muslims?
A: Generally speaking, Seerah means the life history of someone. Any time Muslims talk about the Seerah, they mean the biography of the last Prophet of God Almighty Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Muslims are supposed to study the Seerah of the Prophet in their life time so that they will be able to imitate him, follow him, emulate him, and benefit from his wisdom and his practical implementation of Quranic teachings. The early followers of Islām have written a series of books about the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him to act as a guide to all the new generations to come.
